Chapter One

On nights when the moon was round and full of light, when her heart still screamed with bitter words, Arya would walk deep into the woods. It was no coincidence that she chose to walk the path that had once led to the old city, a place that many of her so many of her kin had previously called home.

Their relationship had somehow ventured off track of slaying Hollows, perhaps to the onset of something else entirely. It felt a little forbidden, and a little exciting at the same time. And then, before it could progress into something serious, he just stopped.

Rukia could feel his breath in her ear and on the nap of her neck. He stood there, tense and unmoving for the longest moment before taking a heavy sigh. His grip on her shoulder slackened and he took a step back.

He gave her an applogetic smile. “Sorry,” he said. “But I can’t.”

Confused and curious, she looked at him. “Why not?”

Rukia peeled off the colored foil, crumpled it between her fingers, and popped the chocolate piece into her mouth. She felt it dissolve on her tongue. It stuck to her lips, thick and sweet. Rukia wondered: Was this why they called it a Kiss?

Across the school yard, she spied Ichigo busy himself with a homemade lunch. A mean thought came to her. Summoning her sweetest smile, she sauntered over to him.

“Hey, Ichigo,” she said. “Want some Kisses?”

He practically choked on his chopsticks. When he regained his breath, Ichigo whirled around, glaring wildly. “What did you say?”

Well, I actually got around to creating an account on this site which is interesting because I cant' draw worth crap. But I've always held to the fact that telling a story is an art and a craft in itself.

So, here I am, uploading fanfiction that I have previously submitted to ff.net under the name Niham. Apparently, though, my usual penname is already being used by someone else...

Oh well, right?

So yeah, I'll probably be uploading fanfiction (and maybe some original fiction?) off and on for a while.
